RGA Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Warehouse Lead / Switcher Driver to coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities while safely managing trailer movement within our company yard. This role is essential to maintaining efficient warehouse operations, accurate documentation, smooth yard flow, and a clean, safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities
Shipping, Receiving & Warehouse Coordination
Coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities according to the shipping schedule.
Check in drivers for live-load pickups and prepare, process, and distribute required shipping documentation.
Assist with preload activities and prepare complete paperwork packets for driver pickup.
Assign loads to forklift drivers to ensure safe and efficient loading.
Enter shipping and receiving data accurately.
Monitor receiving dock activity and advise when trailers should be exchanged to maintain contracted on‑lot trailer requirements.
Respond promptly to emails and phone calls throughout the workday.
Yard Switching & Equipment Operations
Safely move empty and loaded trailers within the yard to designated dock doors or staging areas.
Communicate effectively with warehouse and operations teams.
Perform lot checks and dock inspections to ensure proper trailer placement.
Inspect trailers and equipment prior to movement and report safety concerns immediately.
Complete all required yard movement logs and safety documentation.
Operate yard equipment in compliance with OSHA standards and company policies.
Couple and uncouple trailers and position them accurately at dock doors.
Maintain safe yard operations by monitoring traffic, using horns appropriately, operating at safe speeds, and wearing seat belts.
Assist with facility security by following yard control and access procedures.
Remove hazards, debris, and obstructions from the yard.
Report all accidents, safety incidents, or violations promptly.
Conduct routine walkthroughs of docks, shipping areas, label rooms, and yard spaces to ensure cleanliness and safety.
Communicate safety concerns to drivers and warehouse personnel.
Promote a clean, safe, and compliant work environment.
Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs.
Qualifications & Experience
Proactive, reliable, and self‑motivated work ethic.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Sound judgment and decision‑making skills.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Understanding of yard flow, dock operations, and trailer placement.
Minimum 3 years’ operating a yard switcher.
Warehouse and shipping/receiving office experience preferred.
Valid North Carolina Class A Driver’s License preferred.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.
Ability to work in varying noise levels and outdoor yard conditions.
Work environment includes office areas, warehouse floors, docks, outdoor yards, stairs in some locations, and a chemical manufacturing facility.
