We are currently hiring for 1st and 2nd shift position; local driving and you’re home everyday and Weekends off!
We are looking for an experienced truck driver to serve our supply chain logistics in a safe and timely manner.
Job Description
- Monday through Friday
- It’s approx. 8 to 11 hours per day
- 1st shift begins at 6 am in Brownstown, MI.
- 2nd shift begins at 4 pm in Brownstown, MI.
- You’ll be driving for a fleet owner
Responsibilities
- Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants and distribution centers
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
- Document and log work/rest periods and time spent driving and retain fuel receipts
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
- Collect and verify delivery instructions
- Report defects, accidents or violations
Skills
- Proven work experience as a truck driver with recent 6 years driving with 5’3 trailer
- Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software
- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
- No recent moving or driving violations
- 2 years experience driving 10 speed manual
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
- No more than 3 points on MVR
- No DUI, DWI, or impaired within the last 7 year
- Must pass a regulated DOT drug test
